Writing about myself

Hi, kids!

Yesterday morning in class Pedro (5 D) showed me a text that he wrote about himself (= que ele escreveu sobre si próprio) with the help of a dictionary. I told him that I'd create (= eu disse-lhe que criaria) a place for personal texts in our blog. Pedro, this is the place (= sítio) for your text!

This is the place for all of you to write about yourselves (= todos escreverem sobre vocês). Be careful with the spelling (= ortografia)! When in doubt (= quando tiverem dúvidas), go to your textbook or a dictionary. That is a very good way to learn.

I hope to read many great texts!

Hugs from you teacher

Hi, Pedro!
Congratulations on the great work you are doing! You have answered (= respondeste) every message from my teacher-friends and... you have motivated Omer, a Sudanese 8-year-old colleague. You are now his English teacher! Way to go! (= É assim mesmo!) I'm very proud of you! (= Estou muito orgulhosa de ti!) :-)
Do you think that your parents will permit me to take a picture of you so all these teachers can see how cute you are (= como és giro)?
Can your mother write me a message in your 'caderneta' saying 'yes' or 'no' about this?
A big kiss from your teacher

Hi Kids,

My name is Sharon and I am your teacher's friend from Boston.
I am also an English teacher.

If you would like to visit my dog Holling's blog you can see pictures of all of his friends. Holling has many friends in Brazil. You will see pictures of boys and girls and dogs.

You can also see some pictures of snow and snow flakes on Holling's blog. Perhaps your teacher will let you play the snow flake game.

Have lots of fun :-)

Hi, Hideki and Marcela!
Thank you for your nice messages to Pedro. I'm his teacher.
How did you find out about our blog so far way in Australia?!
And how do you like living in Australia? You are very far away from home, Marcela, aren't you?

Yes, the video is very nice.
When is your next song?!
BTW (= a propósito), this comment should be (= devia estar) on 19 May 2006, because it is about the video, not the Zoo.

Hi, Marcela and Hideki!
I've just left the message below in your Let's Talk podcast.
http://rosao.podomatic.com/
Thank you for dropping by and leaving Pedro nice comments!
Best, Teresa

"Hi, Marcela/Hideki!
Through this Podomatic I've finally found out who you are! You left a message for Pedro, one of my students, in our "Have Fun with English! 2" blog
http://fwe2.motime.com/post/572039#comment
Thank you!
Do you mind if I put a link (I hope your teacher doesn't either!) to this post of yours in our 6 May entry? That way Pedro and his colleagues can relate a name and message to a face. :)
Would like to add yourself to our Frappr map? Could you also ask Marcela to do so? I forgot. TIA.
Best wishes,
Teresa"
